Having a separate and specific respite care plan would greatly enhance the management and clarity of care plans. Currently, the existing system provides a form that can be filled out, which is useful; however, if the form is not completed immediately, saved entries cannot be accessed later for additional information, leading to their disappearance. This issue results in incomplete documentation within the overarching care plan.

To address this, it would be beneficial to implement a system where an incomplete form can be saved and revisited for further input. Furthermore, integrating a distinct respite care plan that clearly indicates when an individual is under respite care would prevent confusion and ensure that all relevant information is accurately reflected in the care plan. Disabling the full care plan in favour of an active respite plan during such periods could streamline processes and improve transparency for both caregivers and recipients.
