Request to Update Vaccination Tracker – Add RSV & “Other” Category

Good day Team,

We have identified a limitation within the current vaccination tracker in mCare that is impacting our ability to accurately record resident vaccinations.

At present, RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is not included in the default vaccine categories. Additionally, within the assessment form, there is no option to record RSV. To proceed and save an assessment, we are currently required to select from the available vaccine types (e.g., SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Influenza, DTaP, Pneumococcal, Shingles, Hepatitis B), none of which are appropriate for RSV.

This creates a significant issue, as:

• It leads to inaccurate data entry when an unrelated vaccine must be selected

• It compromises the integrity of vaccination records

• It limits our ability to track RSV vaccinations reliably and report accurately

To address this, we kindly request the following updates:

1. Addition of RSV to the vaccination list
   Please include RSV as a standard selectable option within both the vaccination tracker and assessment forms.

2. Creation of an “Other” vaccine category
   Please add an “Other” option that allows users to manually input vaccines not currently listed. This will provide a temporary workaround and ensure accurate record-keeping for any additional or newly introduced vaccines.

These changes are important to ensure clinical accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation of resident care.
