Seizure Recording and Reporting Functionality

Currently, the icon and terminology refer specifically to “Epileptic Seizure.” However, not all seizures are epileptic in origin. Seizures may also be non-epileptic, related to other medical conditions, infections, metabolic disturbances, or unknown causes. For this reason, it may be more appropriate for the icon and category to be labelled simply as “Seizure,” with the option to specify the type (for example: epileptic, non-epileptic, suspected, unknown, or other) within the record.

Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if the seizure recording form could include more detailed fields, such as:

- Exact time of onset

- Duration of the seizure

- Type of seizure (drop-down selection and/or free text)

- Observed symptoms (e.g. jerking, unresponsiveness, staring, collapse)

- Recovery time and condition post-episode

- Whether medical assistance was required

- Possible triggers or contributing factors
