planned care in PCS does not reflect real care delivery.

We currently use the “Plan care day” screen and task-based planning, however our “Planned vs Actual Care” report is only showing very small planned minutes (for example 10 minutes per day), which clearly does not reflect total care delivered in a residential care home.

We would like to use planned care time / commissioned care time (sometimes referred to as care blocks or planned time allocation per resident) so that the Planned vs Actual Care report can compare delivered time against a realistic daily planned allocation.
one planned block that covers the day (and night if needed)

Example:

  • Day block: 07:00 – 22:00

  • Night block: 22:00 – 07:00

and give it a planned number of minutes.

Planned care tab does NOT feed into the “Planned vs Actual” time report

You would have to:

  • artificially add large time values to tasks

  • or create fake tasks
just to make the minutes add up.

That is not good practice.

You want your Planned vs Actual care report to compare against a daily planned allocation per resident.
