It would be useful on the NEWS chart to include an option to indicate whether a resident is recommended Scale 2 for their oxygen saturations. If prescribed Scale 2 oxygen, a resident will only need to saturate between 88-92%. If less then 96% currently, it will give a NEWS score.
Good morning. I've realised that this can be changed per residents. If you complete the Baseline Assessment within Assessment Tools, you can stipulate on there that a resident is Scale 2. This will then update the NEWS chart for that resident on PCS
