Home Page Layout

I would like the home page to contain more information. I find it a struggle to read the yellow and blue tiles . As a manager I need any actions ,accidents/incidents highlighted better so I can see things more obviously as soon as I log in. The white screen seems such a waste of space that could contain information that we could perhaps customise?
