Birthdays/important dates diarising for social circle

Birthdays/anniversaries of family members and friends is a huge part of person-centred care, supporting residents to maintain their social circle. However there is no provision in the contacts to enter their birthday so it is diarised. Entering freeform in the notes for that person can be easily missed. The only way is to enter an event for the person's birthday in the resident's diary with notes there, and another reminder before, to purchase/send. It is very time consuming and could mean someone is missed off accidentally. Once the birthday is passed, it would mean staff entering the details again for the next year to ensure it is not forgotten. An option to enter birthday/important dates when creating a contact and a pop up prompting to auto-diarise annually would be very helpful.
