PCS has a wound care template so wounds are scheduled when next due which ensures no wound care is missed. However, trying to keep track of resident routine catheter changes are at risk of being missed as there is no template for routine catheter changes that will be flagged for action like wound care. I feel a catheter template would be beneficial and ensure resident safety by ensuring catheters are changed when due and not be at risk of being missed
I just made this same recommendation, it would be incredibly useful to have this
This would be beneficial, we need somewhere we can record catheter to be used, size etc with a reason for catheter change. Would allow closer monitoring
