Dear Andy Coles,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring your attention to an increasingly challenging issue we are facing with data extraction from PCS.
Recently, we have been receiving a growing number of Subject Access Requests (SARs) and legal court orders requiring us to provide extensive data. Unfortunately, the current system is proving to be quite inefficient for extracting large volumes of data. For instance, when attempting to review detailed care notes over a period of weeks or months, the PDF files tend to freeze.
This situation is becoming critical and necessitates an immediate review. It would be highly beneficial if we could incorporate a feature that allows administrative users to archive a specific range of data offline.
Given the urgency of the matter, I kindly request that this issue be addressed as soon as possible. To illustrate the severity of the situation, we currently have a Court of Protection order that requires us to provide three years’ worth of data. The process of exporting this data, even in monthly increments, is proving to be quite laborious.
While temporary access for care professionals has provided some relief, a more permanent solution needs to be implemented to resolve this issue.

As Andy Coles says above. We need to be able to extract Care Notes, Assessments and anything else which contains the personal data of the customer efficiently. One crucial thing is that the information needs to not include the carer's names as we have to redact this after extracting the data from the system. We are increasingly getting these requests from Solicitors on behalf of families who are challenging funding decisions and in some cases its taking days extract and redact this information.
