No character limit on care planning! Care plans are not exhaustive and some residents require complex and detailed care plans and this cannot be achieved with a character limit

There is difficulty updating residents' care plans based on the character restriction of 10,000. This need to be removed as the ability to input fully detailed, person-centred care plans, especially for residents with complex behavioural, medical, or cognitive needs is now very impossible to achieve. Staff may be forced to omit valuable behavioural history, communication styles, trauma-informed approaches, or detailed best interest rationales due to space limits. Under the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Care Act (2014), providers are required to demonstrate how and why certain decisions are made in a resident’s best interest — often requiring lengthy narrative explanations
