input more than one icon at a time

When you use a handheld device like an evie?phone you can click on more than one care action at a time to log it but if you use an ipad or desktop/laptop you can only click on 1 item at a time
so if you have washed, shaved, oral hygeine, changed bed etc you can only input 1 at a time which is very time consuming
why can you on an evie/handheld put them all together but not on desktop etc please?
