MUST calculations in assessment and on tile

I would like the MUST calculations to match what is required in our clinical practice, as I am currently finding I am calculating the MUST myself, rather than using the MUST calculated by PCS.

To calculate the weight loss for a MUST you need a current weight and a previous weight. Dietitians and clinicians will use 3-months-previous as the previous weight. This is then used to determine the subsequent nutritional plan of care. They may in addition use 6-months-previous in order to detect any slow, perhaps undetected, weight loss over time.

Please could the weight 3 months previously (+ current weight) be used to calculate weight loss in the MUST assessment - instead of the maximum weight in the last 2 months? Could an additional weight-loss calculation (and MUST) for the 6 months previous be included on the MUST assessment page?

And the MUST in the tile on the front page is currently different to the MUST in the MUST assessment. Could I suggest that this incorporate the ‘worst-case’ of a) the 3-month-MUST, b) the 6-month-MUST, and c) the "MUST" that is currently in the MUST assessment (using the maximum weight in the last 2 months). The tile should also indicate which MUST or weight loss indicator it is using. This way the tile is highlighting any rapid weight loss (which may otherwise be detected too late), as well as either long-term weight-loss or short-term. It would incorporate all the possible high risks of malnutrition, which is likely to enable nurses or carers to act more quickly to prevent further weight loss and deterioration of health.

Thank you
